Winter Circular Hiking Route Brixen - Moosen

This pleasant valley hike departs from Westendorf’s village centre, along the Schulgasse (easterly) to the district of Bichling.  At the junction at the Schermerhof, turn to the left and pass a very old but beautiful oven at the Stöcklbauer, once used for baking bread.  Arriving at the Bichlingerstraße, we take a right and continue walking straight-ahead along the cycling path to Brixen.  In the district of Hof, we branch-off left towards the gondola station.

Continuing straight-ahead, takes you to the “Fischerstadl” and from there into the centre of Brixen.
The SkiWelt gondola takes you up to the Choralpe mountain top (Westendorf) from where you can take the Choralmbahn gondola down to the Windau and continue along the walking route ultimately arriving back in Westendorf’s village centre.
The gondola station in Brixen takes you to Hochbrixen where you can visit the Alpeniglu Village and/or avail of the higher cross-country ski tracks.

 
At the gondola station turn left, pass the Spar supermarket , cross the road at the Hoferwirt / Stöcklbauer and follow the hiking route on your right to Moosen. Once in the district of Moosen, keep to the left at the Heisenhof, continuing to the main road which you then cross and pass under the small railway bridge.  A footpath leads you uphill back to the centre of Westendorf.
