Winter Hike on Westendorf’s Sunny Plateau:

Our departure point is the Tourist Information Office in Westendorf.  Starting off, we walk past the Gemeindeamt in the direction of Holzham.  At Neuhaushof, we turn right along the path leading to the Freischwimmbad (open-air pools) Westendorf.  We continue straight-ahead in the direction of the hamlet, Au, and follow the road as far as Gasthof Aunerhof.  Immediately in front of the Aunerhof we turn left into the woods.  After a few hundred metres the path leads us to the left through the golf course until we reach a road again.  We cross the road, which leads to the Lendwirt, and continue on, passing the Waldstadion and Alpinolino Waldpark (football stadium and playground).  At the carpark we cross the road and continue on a forest path to Haus Innsbruck, a recreational home, and where we come also across the first “Tee” on Westendorf’s Golf Course.  We cross a small footbridge and reach the hiking route again which takes us past the Driving Range in the Holzham area.  At the Boarstadl, we turn right onto Dorfstraße and follow this road into the village centre, where we once again arrive back at our original point of departure.
