Tour information
The starting point for this walk is Westendorf’s village centre. We walk along the Dorfstraße in the direction of Holzham, turning left at “Neuhaushof” towards the public swimming pools. Here we cross the road, continuing straight ahead as far as the “Old Lake” and further on to “Aunerhof”. We remain on the road as we pass the “Aunerhof”, walking the so-called “Aunerschleife” (the Auner circuit). Enroute we see the Tapp Chapel and several beautiful farmhouses. At the next fork in the road we stay to the left, following the signs for Feichten, eventually arriving at a main road. Crossing this road, then passing under the railway line we have a small up-hill walk into the hamlet of Feichten. At the end of the hamlet we take a left at the beautiful little chapel and follow the hiking trail to the Straßhäusl area. Having reached the lower side of Straßhäusl, we turn right and walk once again under the railway line. After a few meters we cross the main road. Just beyond the residential area we take a left onto a small, easy up-hill trail. At the end of this, we turn to the left, following the pavement which brings us back into Westendorf’s village centre.
