Winter hiking with some fun tobogganing

The Noriker stallions of the Tyrolean Noriker Horse Breeding Association spend the summer at the Hengstenalm - the Stallbachkaralm in Kirchberg. After covering numerous mares, they enjoy a well-earned summer break on the alpine pasture. But first the stallions have to establish their hierarchy. This fascinating spectacle ensures that the alpine summer passes quietly and harmoniously - a true natural experience that reflects not only the beauty of the animals, but also the impressive power of tradition. A very special moment that demonstrates the unbreakable bond between man, animal and nature.

Please note the following when travelling to the venue:
No liability is accepted for those arriving by car. Due to limited parking, we recommend arriving early. Particularly in fine weather, access will only be possible until 10:00 am and there may be short term road closures if the roads are busy.
Please note that there is no organised taxi shuttle service. If you wish to travel by taxi, please make your own arrangements and plan to arrive early.
We recommend using the Ebenau car park in Aschau. From there it is a beautiful 2-hour hike to the venue. On the way you will see the Großer Rettenstein, pass an impressive waterfall and walk along the river Ache - a great way to experience nature.
We reserve the right to make changes, so please check for the latest information.
