Theatre Asou with ‘The Jungle Book’
Monday, 28 April 2025
Start: 10:00 am
Poetic narrative theatre with live music
In the middle of the jungle lies a little human child. Separated from his parents, the tiger Shir Khan sees him as his next meal. But the wolves of the jungle save the boy from the dangerous tiger. They take the cute human baby into their care. They call him Mowgli, little frog, as he is completely naked and, unlike them, has no fur. Together with his pack, the cosy bear Baloo and the elegant panther Bagheera, Mowgli now discovers the jungle for himself. Ten years pass by. But Shir Khan does not give up: He tries one last time to get Mowgli between his claws and attacks his wolf family in the process. Mowgli suddenly has to make a decision: Is he really a wolf or a human after all?
The exciting world of the jungle is brought to life with masks and live music. The play tells of family, of life between two cultures and of the search for one's own place in the world.
Based on the classic by Rudyard Kipling - a play for the whole family, school class or kindergarten group from the age of 5.
