SAUDI ARABIA: the vibrant cities of Riyadh and Jeddah, Medina - the holy city of the Muslims, fascinating landscapes and reports on major projects for the future (‘The Line’ and ‘Asian Winter Games 2029’).
JORDAN: ‘Petra’ - the city carved out of rock is considered a wonder of the world. Wadi Rum - rugged rock formations, one of the most beautiful desert landscapes in the world. Dead Sea - lowest point on earth (430 metres below sea level).
CHINA: Hong Kong - the metropolis in the south of the country. Hallstatt - a copy of the world cultural centre in the Salzkammergut. Harbin - the world's largest ice festival in the north of China with temperatures ranging from -20 C° to -30 C°.
JAPAN: Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, the Winter Olympic city of Nagano, Kyoto, Hiroshima and, as a personal highlight of the trip, the snow monkeys (Japanese macaques) bathing in the hot springs in the north of the country.
