Winter hiking Hochfilzen - Hoametzlhütte

From the village centre of Hochfilzen, head towards the church. In the pilgrimage church Maria Schnee you will find the baroque year-round nativity scene with various scenes from the life of Jesus Christ. Opposite the church, walk along the winter hiking trail "Herrengasse" towards Warming. To the left and right of the path are the perfectly groomed cross-country trails of the Hochfilzen Nordic centre, providing a first impression of the wonderful cross-country skiing conditions in the region. After the subway, walk left along the pavement until you reach the striking "Hörlbauer" and "Glaagut" farms. Between the two farms, turn left onto Tennweg. Along the Tennweg you have a wonderful panoramic view on the Kitzbühel Alps and the Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge mountains. This sunny winter hiking trail leads to the Hoametzlhütte (+43.676.6064415). After a stop for a bite to eat, you can either speed down into the valley on the toboggan or return to the starting point via the winter hiking trail.
After the toboggan run you can take the free ski bus from Warming back to the village centre. The toboggan run is lit daily until midnight. 

From the turn-off from Tennweg, where the asphalt road ends, the tour to the Hoametzl hut can be easily done on snowshoes.
