We start at the tourist office, cross the bridge behind the municipal office and follow the Fieberbrunner Ache eastwards for the next 1.1 km, always upstream (direction Hochfilzen). The trail leads along the Achenpromenade to the hamlet of Walchau. There we cross under the main road (B 164). Take a sharp right turn, cross the "Bodenbrücke" bridge and the following road. Follow the pavement to the crossroads (Bergbahn Fieberbrunn) and turn left. At the cable cars we keep left, follow the initially asphalted path between the Doischberg valley station (yellow gondolas) and the S4-Alm and reach a wide gravel path before the SC Fieberbrunn finish hut. Follow this along the so-called "Krottenbach". At the fork in the road after 2.7 km, we take the right-hand side. An approx. 3.3 km long ascent with a moderately difficult gradient begins. We are in the middle of the Streuböden ski area, pass the Ferchlstadl (4.25 km) and soon see the Streubödenalm (1210 m). A view of the wonderful landscape compensates for the exertion. In front of us we see the hiking area of the Wildseeloder. To the west, the Kaiser Mountains rise majestically and behind us, the massif of the Loferer Steinberge towers over the lovely Buchensteinwand. We follow the gravel road under the Streubödenbahn railway uphill for a few more metres. At the halfway point of the trail (6 km), we turn right. The trail now leads steadily downhill. Past alpine pastures, we meet the asphalt road of the hamlet of Lauchsee after 8.5 km. We keep to the right and follow the "Lauchseerunde" to the lake of the same name. Soon we catch sight of the idyllic Lauchsee lake with the Loferer Steinberge mountains in the background. Directly at the Lauchsee lake, we follow a gravel path to the right. At the "Schweinesten" farm, we leave the Lauchseerunde, turn left and always approach the village centre of Fieberbrunn downhill.
