04 Lauchseerunde

We start at the tourist office, cross the bridge behind the municipal office and follow the promenade path westwards downstream for the next 4.5 km. The path takes us past the new secondary school and the Aubad.  After crossing the Fieberbrunner Ache and passing under the main road, keep your eyes on the well gravelled promenade path along the Fieberbrunner Ache. In the Rosenegg district, we turn left uphill in the direction of Hotel-Chalets Grosslehen (1.72 km). Continue straight on slightly uphill past the Hotel Chalets Grosslehen and you will meet the Granbachrunde at KM 2.7. Follow this through the hamlets of Mittermoos and Lackental until you reach Pletzergraben. There, before the bridge, a gravel path turns off to the right, which we follow along the Pletzerache to the "Kuhbrücke" bridge. After crossing the bridge, the trail is quite steep for a short distance until you reach the asphalt road "Lauchsee". Stay on the asphalt road on the left until you see the picturesque Lauchsee lake with the Loferer Steinberge mountains in the background (7.6 km). Along the Lauchsee lake, we follow a gravel path on the right. Past the ski jump, the "Schweinesten" farm, we come to the Fieberbrunn cable cars. Via the car park, the trail leads back to the main road on the valley floor. Walk a short distance to the right along the pavement, cross under the main road and turn left along the Promenadenweg along the Fieberbrunner Ache back to the village centre.
