The Glockendorf Tirol is located in the heart of the PillerseeTal.
Waidring - the bell adventure village in Tyrol The casting of bells has a long tradition in Waidring. Even today, the bells are still handcrafted in the small village at the foot of the striking stone slab. From the making of the sand mould and the casting itself to the precision work, visitors learn first in theory and then in practice. The self-cast bell can also be taken home as a souvenir.
Calling, listening, celebrating, casting - these are the different topics of the multimedia exhibition. Visitors can experience the traditional craft all year round. They learn how bells served as an alternative smoke signal, how they sounded, what role they played in the world wars and what is important in production. If you can't get enough, you can visit one of the last three art and bell foundries in Austria.
Experience trail | The Biatron at the car park of the Waidring/Steinplatte mountain railways houses the bell exhibition and is also the starting point for the Glockenerlebnisweg. This leads along various stations to the village centre, which marks the end of the approximately one-hour tour.
