As early as in 1846, the "Old Salt Works" was given the honourable title of the "most beautiful salt works in the world" and still today represents one of Bavaria's most important industrial monuments. For centuries, the valuable "White Gold" was mined here and stood as a reflection of power and wealth. Today, the "Old Salt Works" is regarded as a magnificent symbol of this wealth.
