What a cheese lover’s heart desires!
The Holzalm, also called Käsealm, is located at 1,440 m above sea level and can be reached on foot.
From mid/end May to the beginning of October, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Hohe Salve and the Kitzbühel Alps from the sun terrace.
In addition, there are numerous delicacies and freshly produced alpine pasture products with which you can fortify yourself.
In the summer months, cheese is produced directly on the alp.
Every Tuesday you can take a look behind the scenes of cheese production during a guided tour of the alpine dairy at 1:30 pm. and then taste the delicious cheese.
You can buy the following cheese specialities directly on site to take home:
Bergkäse, Almkönig, Tilsiter, Kräutertilsiter, Camenbert, Graukäse (curd cheese), whey products (subject to availability).

Directly at the Holzalm, from May - September, daily from 09:00 - 16:30 hrs.
