The "small" magnificent Rettenstein

Our hike begins at the Oberlandhütte in Aschau.  From here we hike in the direction of the Oberer Grund into the valley, alongside the Obere Grund stream.  This route takes us along a wide forest road as far as the Klooalm.  Once here, we turn to the left onto a narrow hiking path through the forest, which leads us to the Stadlbergalm.  From here the hiking path continues in the direction of the “Kleiner Rettenstein” (small Rettenstein).   Along the route it is possible to make a detour to the so-called “Blauen Lacke” (Blue Lake).
With our destination in sight, the rocky ridge begins.  At this point, surefootedness is required, as well as a head for heights and without any dizziness.  After a few elevations you will have reached the summit!
The descent is the same as the ascent.
