Spertental Valley
Pure nature in the side valley of Kirchberg
Spertental is one of the Brixental side valleys, which extends all the way to the Salzburgian state border in the south. It impresses with its pristine natural landscape and rustic mountain lodges. The valley is traversed by the Spertentaler Ache river, which makes for welcome refreshment on various hikes and cycling tours. The Tirolean mountain village of Aschau with its around 400 residents, is picturesquely located in the valley basin and is definitely worth a visit.
Spertental is home to the geographic centre of the Kitzbühel Alps, which is marked with a prominent stone. Likewise, the valley even has its own Kneipp facility, which is a popular stopover after hiking or cycling tours. But it’s not only scenically that Spertental is worth a trip, in gastronomic terms it also has plenty to offer.
