When the first rays of sunshine light up the summits in Brixental Valley, that early start has been worthwhile and is rewarded with a delicious breakfast in an Alpine inn. Over 60 Alpine lodges in Brixental valley, the Hohe Salve region, the Wilder Kaiser region and Kufsteinerland also offer lots of home-produced items - farmhouse bread with fresh butter, aromatic herbal spreads, home-made jams, cheese and bacon. Then there is a breakfast egg and this indescribable feeling of waking up with the indescribable feeling of a kiss of early morning warm sunshine.

Brixental’s innkeepers really work flat out for you: Only the best of their own produce or regional produce is served. It may well be that your breakfast egg only "saw the light of day&quot a few hours previous. Every mountain lodges has its very own little secret. There is always something different to experience in every Alpine inn. They all pay attention to the utmost quality, regionality, seasonality and adore home-produced goods.

What is the best way to get to the Alpine lodges? Therein lies the second secret of "breakfast on the mountain": You have the option to enjoy easy and convenient carriage via local cable cars. So even really early in the morning you will be one of the first on the mountain. And, You get to enjoy an action-packed start to your day and can choose one of countless hiking trails as breakfast destinations. By hook or by crook: In Brixental valley you are spoilt for choice. We do however know that You are definitely making the right choice!

And where else can these delights be enjoyed in a more intense fashion than in every hotel in the valley? Exactly - Way up in the mountains, with a unique mountain panorama, the rising, warming sunshine and views into the distance from your breakfast table that are unrivalled!

Vouchers are worth € 16.- and are available in the information office in Brixental valley or in the Online Shop. Can be redeemed in all participating mountain lodges, Alpine inns and mountain inns in the holiday region.

Please note: For larger groups (from approx. 10 people and over) breakfast on the mountain is only available upon advance notice.

Frequently asked questions

  • This varies, depending on whether it is an Alpine inn or a guesthouse. Generally a breakfast costs between € 12.- and € 19.- per person. There may be variations depending on the business and offers available.

  • Not usually, no. We do however recommend that you make a reservation beforehand with your preferred partner. Busy days might cause shortages. A reservation is definitely recommended for larger groups.

  • No. It is only available at participating businesses. These businesses specialise in this service.

  • This varies from business to business Get information beforehand direct from the respective mountain lodge about detailed opening hours and service times. For the most part "Frühstück am Berg"-partners open in line with local cable car opening times.

  • No. There are also various mountain lodges which offer breakfast on the mountain in the winter. That said, in terms of numbers, this is definitely more limited that it is in the summer!

  • A gift voucher is worth € 16-. The amount can be seen straight away with participating guest businesses, in much the same way as cash.

  • Generally speaking, gift vouchers can be purchased in all information offices in participating tourist regions (Brixental Valley, Holiday Region Hohe Salve, Wilder Kaiser, Kufsteinerland). In Brixental Valley the information offices are in Brixen im Thale, Kirchberg in Tirol and Westendorf. Gift vouchers are also available via the Online Shop for Brixental Valley.

  • No. You can enjoy a breakfast on the mountain even without a voucher. Pay in cash. The vouchers make an excellent unusual gift voucher for any occasion.
