  • Fishing opportunities in Brixental Valley - Anglers will find a variety of attractive waters in Brixental Valley - from clear streams to idyllic lakes. Fishing is permitted in the following waters:

    Spertentaler Ache
    A popular fishing water from Aschau to Klausen.
    - Day ticket: € 40 (max. 6 trout)
    - Available e.g. at the “Kirchberger Hof” hotel
    - Prerequisite: Membership of the Tyrolean Fishing Association (one-off € 25)

    Brixental Valley (e.g. Brixentaler Ache, Windauer Ache)
    - Diverse fish stocks, popular with anglers

    Schwarzsee in Kitzbühel
    - Season: May to mid-November
    - Day and annual tickets available

    Erlensee fishing paradise in Brixen im Thale
    - Idyllic lake with char & trout
    - Day ticket: € 17 (incl. 1 kg of fish), each additional kg: € 15
    - Opening hours: 9:00-18:00
    - Ticket sales: Restaurant Fischerstadl (by the lake)
    - Special feature: Catch can be prepared on site or bought smoked
    - No fishing license required

    Fishing cards:

    Tyrolean fishing card
    The Tyrolean fishing license is mandatory in most waters of the province (except for fishing ponds). It is considered official proof of fishing authorization.
    - Costs: approx. 110 € (incl. fees)
    - Issued by the district administration

    Guest fishing license
    Vacation guests aged 14 and over who do not have a Tyrolean fishing license can purchase a guest fishing license.
    - Valid for 14 days
    - Price: 25 €
    - Available online, e.g. at hejfish.com
