From Westendorf in Brixental Valley, the road follows the Windauerache for around 16 kilometres into the rear Windau Valley, a jewel in the Kitzbühel Alps. The ‘Gamskogelhütte’ is located there at 1100 metres above sea level against a magnificent mountain backdrop. Three alpine pastures in the immediate vicinity, the roaring torrent and the waterfall on the Miesenbach stream make for a rewarding excursion destination before and after a gourmet break. The family-run business is dedicated to home cooking and serves whatever the season has to offer: mushroom goulash, venison from the surrounding hunting grounds, fish from the local waters or cranberry dumplings are served in the cosy parlour or on the beautiful sun terrace. Easily accessible on foot, by bike (e-bike battery charging station available) or by car.
The Magreiter family and their team look forward to your visit!
