Peter Alexander, in his early 50s, waits in a “run-of-the-mill bar” for the result of an admissions interview and reflects on his life story. He has always disliked crowds and failed in relationships and jobs. Neither moral nor immoral, he often hits uncomfortable truths. Now, at 50, he wants to try again and is looking for a fresh start in a degenerated affluent society.
