The Woodstock Academy

Away. Together. Educating.

This isn't a big festival. It's a huge training week! With amazing instructors and lecturers. With unbelievable quality, range and depth. And all of that with the incomparable feeling of Woodstock brass band music.

Alphorn workshop - completely classic on the alpine pastures

The "can do but don't have to do everything" programme

How does the Woodstock Academy work? It's actually quite simple: there's a basic offer with high-quality workshops, lectures, interviews, events and "Mental & Physical" workshops for groups. Then there is the extraordinary additional offer with professional tips in individual lessons, ensemble lessons, band lessons or individual "Mental & Physical" coaching. All, of course, with only the best instructors and lecturers. As if that was not enough, an extensive, completely free, but all the more cosy social programme awaits all participants - in the middle of the picturesque grassy mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Here's what you can expect, among other things:

  • Arranging brass & wood instruments and dance music
  • Alphorn for beginners and experienced participants
  • Breathing, concept, sound & more
  • Basics for trumpet, flugelhorn, flute, oboe and (almost) everything else
  • Reeds for clarinet and saxophone
  • Taster course "Try conducting"
  • Fireside chat "Sport meets music - Eberharter meets Schorn"
  • Stylistic workshop "BrassPop"
  • and lots, lots more!

And there's more on top:

  • checkA musical opening evening in a class of its own

  • checkThe "legendary" WDB regular musicians social group

  • checkWoodstock Academy music performed daily in the mountain huts in the Brixen Valley

  • check"Mittwochsfest'l" in Brixen - presented by Woodstock der Blasmusik

  • check"Schau Zuichi Markt" in Westendorf presented by Woodstock der Blasmusik

  • checkThe obligatory "Woodstock Night" in Kirchberg

  • checkAnd of course: the joint performance high up in the mountains

Open to all, something for everyone.

Learn from the best.

Be it a beginner or music student, simply interested or highly motivated, whether you want a full programme every day or prefer to take it easy, every participant can put together their own Woodstock Academy week. It's irrelevant if you are a professional or an amateur - everything is allowed. Our instructors offer a suitable session for every age, every level and every instrument.

The list of those personalities who pass on their knowledge and skills to the participants during the Woodstock Academy is extensive.
