Swimming in Brixental Valley

Swimming pools and swimming lakes make for unlimited enjoyment!

The baths and lakes in Brixental Valley provide refreshing cooling off on hot summer days. Not only children and families delight in the cool waters when swimming in one of the region’s pools. The soothing, tingling sensation of fresh water on your skin is great relief for everyone.

Swimming lake Brixen im Thale

The Brixen im Thale leisure complex is located approx. 700 meters on foot from the town center.
In addition to the bathing lake, it offers a total of 3 swimming pools:

  • Swimming pool
  • Adventure pool with a big slide
  • Children's pool


There is also a large bathing lake with a 1 and 3-meter diving tower and a spacious sunbathing lawn.

Attractions such as a small playground, a Kneipp pool, a beach volleyball court and table tennis table further enhance the facility.
There is a restaurant with a terrace and a small kiosk right by the lake. The facility is located directly on the Brixental Valley cycle path,
It is therefore easy to reach by bike from all directions.

There are also a few free car parking spaces available.

Swimming lake Kirchberg

The Kirchberg bathing lake is approx. 1 km on foot from the village center. It also offers a heated outdoor pool
with a non-swimmer area and a children's pool.

The following attractions await you at the bathing lake:

  • 25 m wide wave slide
  • 50 m water slide
  • 3 + 1 meter diving platform
  • Playground, a beach volleyball court and table tennis tables


At the lakeside restaurant you can get the refreshments you need. A sunbathing area with shady trees invites you to linger.

Free parking spaces are available.

The Westendorf outdoor swimming pool is located approx. one kilometer from the town center & was reopened in July 2024.

Schwarzsee

The Schwarzsee in Kitzbühel is a moorland lake and offers a fantastic view of the Wilder Kaiser. The lake can be reached directly by public transport such as bus and train, the respective stops are only a few steps away from the lake. If you arrive by car, there are plenty of parking spaces available.

  • Open until 08.09.2024 from 08:00 - 19:00 for a fee
  • Changes possible at any time due to weather conditions

Public indoor pools in the Kitzbühel Alps end

There are also a few indoor swimming pools in the Kitzbühel Alps, which are open in both summer and winter. All are easily accessible by car and public transport. You receive discounts with your Kitzbühel Alps Guest Card.
