With the Maierlbahn I, the Kitzbühel cable cars have significantly reduced the load on the ageing Fleckalmbahn lift and also created closer access to the ski area for Kirchberg guests.

The Maierl lift replaced the two double chairlifts Maierl I + II in 2010.

In the same year, the Maierl III lift was also replaced by the 8-seater Ochsalmbahn chairlift.

The Maierlbahn and Ochsalmbahn lifts take you from Kirchberg to the Ehrenbachhöhe.
